Good to know

Made for the web

No YouTube API key is needed. The first playback must follow a tap because browsers block unsolicited audio. Distance is lightweight attenuation, so DualTube still uses exactly two YouTube players.

Online video and audio workspace

A two-video YouTube mixer built for live control.

DualTube combines two embeddable YouTube videos or playlists in one responsive workspace. Use it for comparisons, ambient layers, dance practice, DJ-style transitions, synchronized playlists, or creative video mashups without downloading source media.

Mix on any screen

Independent deck trims, a master level, equal-power crossfading, looping, playlists, and compact video controls work on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Record every slider move

Signed-in users can capture crossfader, master, deck volume, and distance-depth input against both YouTube playback positions.

Share without a login wall

Creators sign in to save. Anyone with a public mix link can load and play its setup or automation without creating an account.

How to mix two YouTube videos

  2. Load both sources and select Play both.
  3. Move the crossfader and deck sliders to shape the mix.
  4. Sign in to record automation or create a permanent public share link.

Frequently asked questions

Does DualTube download or rehost YouTube videos?

No. Playback stays inside the official YouTube IFrame Player. The app stores only mixer settings, source URLs, and automation points.

Do viewers need an account to open a shared mix?

No. Authentication is required to create or save cloud data, but a public share link can be loaded and played anonymously.

Why does mobile audio behavior vary?

Mobile operating systems and YouTube control autoplay, background playback, advertisements, and per-player volume behavior.
